Huguenot Apartments

By | Apartments, Before & After, Masonry, News + Case Studies | No Comments

Huguenot Apartments was an older development badly in need of a replacement entrance sign and interior directional signage. They also presented us with a unique problem. Their main entrance didn’t present room for a sign, and their existing sign was not actually on their property. We jumped in to act as their agent.

Our first step was to obtain a land use permit through the State of Virginia. This allowed us to receive a permit (previously denied) from Chesterfield County to remove and replace the old sign. The new sign is updated, eye-catching, and modern.

We then performed a site survey, and with approval from the management company, installed clear, consistent directional signs for the convenience of the residents. For Huguenot, this was a start-to-finish turn-key project.

Interiors at HHHunt

HHHunt believes that it’s not enough to build places for people to live. They want to build places for a life. They construct homes, communities, apartment complexes, and senior living facilities – all with an eye towards quality and lifestyle.

We have worked with them a great deal in the past, and were prepared when the residential housing market crashed. They kept their passion for quality, and when it came time to update their offices, they came back to us. Since interior signs are viewed from close-up (as opposed to driving by on the street), no expense can be spared in creating them. They are under spotlights, and use a 3D technique that makes their Mission Statement and Vision true focal points. The quality of their office and new signage reflected their commitment to their standards of excellence.

We’re fortunate to have this continuing relationship with them.

Sign Overhaul at Seasons

Seasons is an existing apartment community that needed new signage. We were able to update the main entrance sign with one that is internally lit, increasing their visibility from the street. We also did a site survey for the property owners, determining the best locations for internal signage. This included wayfinding signage, building numbers, traffic signs, rules signs, and marketing signs. This property enhancement provided a better presentation for the management and better traffic flow inside the development.

The Pediatric Connection is a great company run by wonderful people. They provide a host of medical services specifically designed for children. Their logo conveys their passion for helping children and the engaging nature of their staff. We were able to do quite a few projects for them, including large graphics for their office, signs, and vehicles. Whether you’re in their offices or see them on the street, you recognize Pediatric Connection and feel their playful nature.

Custom Carving at Center Pointe

We love getting projects where so many of our employees get to add their personal touch. Center Pointe is a new development in Midlothian, Virginia, and wanted something that conveyed the custom craftsmanship of their homes. We have an excellent hand-carver in our shop. Kat hand-carved a huge duck for their sign, and then hand painted it as well. You can see some of the process in the photos. The product used is high-density urethane which is excellent to carve and is long lasting in an outdoor environment. This was a turnkey project for the client, with us taking care of the masonry, railings and sign. Now residents and real estate shoppers are greeted with a sign that exemplifies custom craftsmanship.

Draper Aden

Custom Swoosh For Draper Arden

By | Carousel Team, Commerical, In-house Design, News + Case Studies | No Comments

We have done vehicle signage for Draper Arden for years. They decided they wanted something new and updated. We opted to enlarge the logo and add a large swoosh. This recognized the brand but gave it a fresh look, showing the continued growth of an established company. The swoosh made the logo dynamic, exemplifying the energy of Draper Arden. The vehicles with the new design were more noticeable driving around town, which led to more phone calls and more sales.

“We were looking to change our vehicle signage to make more of a lasting and positive impact.  With the help of Kat, we were able to do that by making the lettering larger and incorporating the complete logo onto the vehicles.  Carousel Signs truly does a fantastic job and stands behind their work.  They are willing to listen to your ideas and turn them into a reality.”
